Every transfer this window on 16:46 - Feb 1 with 2267 views | SheffordBlue | The volume of Academy business both coming in and sending playes out on loans seems high for the January window but not sure if that is just recency bias. Is this business as usual or a bit of a shift? [Post edited 1 Feb 2023 17:00]

A lot of the kids have been out on loan at non-league clubs fairly regularly over the last few years. Is something the new regime want to continue.

When do they stop being the "new regime"? They are less than a couple of months away from owning the club for 2 years...

Oh, and Tommy Hughes at King's Lynn, Torquay was the loan that didn't work out.

True, although the new academy regime is newer than that.

Interestingly there are four ex-Town academy at Torquay: Brett McGavin Dylan Crowe Ross Marshall Ben Wyatt or maybe it's not that interesting

Didn't realise Ben Wyatt was there. Manager Gary Johnson is a former Suffolk resident, of course, having been Newmarket manager so may well have connections locally still.

Interesting when you consider Brett McGavin, then 20, was considered our senior head in midfield only a little over 2 years ago when Charlton taught us a lesson at PR under Lambert. Alongside 11 year old Liam Gibbs, starting a league game with a 20% fit Norwood where a win would've put us 2nd, up against a midfield of Ben Watson and Jonny Williams. The absolute state of it. We've come a long way since then.

It's infuriating (to me at least) that in true ITFC fashion, just as we got our house in order the quality of L1 generally has improved. You look back at past line ups and wonder how we were ever anywhere near the play off picture at all.

Always had to know - he wasn't involved with them from middle of September then randomly was on the bench for a game at start of November Hasn't been there since, but also hasn't played in recent youth games when he would be worth involvement so may be injured and still there - but is likely back

Whilst Lambert was a disaster for a lot of reasons, the fact he managed to set that team up to beat all the bottom dwellers in the league was quite something at times as was talent deficient in midfield and up front. Had Cook managed to beat those bottom teams we'd have made the play offs, and if he had done it the season after he'd not have been sacked when he was

I didn't realise that re November. There's a TWTDer who watches Bromley and he mentioned he'd not been involved about a month into the season.

Just checked and it was vs Barnet on 25th October - but still after 8 games he hadn't been involved in at all.
