Two cracking goals from Miller, a bit of Counago class, Reuser doing what he does best and Kuqi barrelling around with two goals and the most extraordinary goal celebration I’ve ever seen. Add in a good goal or two from Crewe and comedy defending throughout and this one had the lot.
I went with a friend who was a massive Alex supporter and our mutual chum who supported Norwich. They went in the away section after we’d enjoyed a few beers since late morning. Those three up front were a bit handy weren’t they. Counago was such a skilful player when he was ‘on it’.
The boys at the back did not have their best day. All over the place covers it. The look on McGreal’s face was priceless. I suspect if anyone had said to him when his own goal dribbled in ‘you’re never fully dressed without a smile’ he’d have spontaneously combusted.
