Crazy relegation Sunday in store in La Liga 11:36 - Jun 4 with 1687 viewsgainsboroughblue

Two spots already filled but six teams playing to avoid the final spot tonight. No more than 2 points between them.

Yep, Valencia the "big" team under threat but I'm guessing Celta to drop as they're at home to Barça today.

Bit of a watershed with the big two, Benzema leaving Madrid after 14 years and Busquets & Alba playing their last matches for Barça today. Messi leaving PSG offers a dream return for culés but I reckon he's off to pasture in Saudi.

Tough one, I have a soft spot for Rayo but that would be at expense of Girona, Catalan club punching well above theiir weight.

Both are really, Rayo play in a stadium with 3 sides, 15k capacity, under an owner that everyone there despises. Absolute miracle Iraola's pulled off to have them mid-table, he'll absolutely deserve whatever big payday he'll get next season (hopefully not Leeds).

(Glad for Michel if Girona do it, absolute legend in Vallecas!)

Valladolid the unlucky ones at half time, stuck on 40 points (they're 0-0 with Getafe, who I think would drop into the bottom 3 if Valladolid score, due to their weak head-to-head record with the two other teams on 41 points - Valencia and Almeria).

My second team is Valencia so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Can't see us beating Betis so we'll need to rely on others.

Valencia's head-to-head with the other relegated candidates is pretty good, think they only end up relegated if Cadiz end up in the head-to-head calculations (they'd need to lose the game they're currently winning for that to happen).

Real ding-dong between Espanyol and Almeria, switching between Valladolid and Almeria for the last drop place every 5 minutes.

Shame about Rayo and Girona but Osasuna maybe deserve it after their cup final loss.
