Question about resale 12:50 - Jun 22 with 1981 viewsstijnutrecht

Hi everyone, not sure if this is the way to ask things like this but will give it a go. I'm from the Netherlands and will study in Colchester after the summer. I bought a season ticket, but I won't be in England until the end of september. Is there any way I can sell my ticket for the home games in august and september via the ITFC website?

As no-one else has answered, I'll go first and say No.

You can transfer it on a match by match basis to someone else, if you can find someone who wants it, and of course they can recompense you for it, but as your season ticket will be in The Netherlands I think that might be tricky.
That is the extent of my knowledge on the subject.

Oh, and Pablo or Shefki, and which cheese?

From the Netherlands you say.....you don't happen to play in midfield do you?

Thought that would be the case. Not a problem, just a shame that there will be an empty seat first few matches.

Have not seen much footage of players from the past at Ipswich, but based on just reading about the history I'm going for Pablo. Have seen Martijn Reuser in action at the end of his career at NAC Breda :)

And Gouda of course, it's not even close.

Since I'm starting in October, we'll have to wait until the January transfer window I'm afraid

I think you can ring the ticket office up and arrange for a paper ticket to be provided for someone. You could then arrange any payment you wanted to take from them between yourselves.

To follow on from this, this place may well be the best place to find someone. I’m sure there’s someone around on this forum who’d be interested in a ST for a few months. Most people on here will be trustworthy if they’ve got a posting history.

If you can find someone, posting the ticket is an option. Or, as transferring the ticket is allowable, just ask the ticket office at the club. If you explain your circumstances, they may agree to issue a new temporary card to whoever you’ve found. Worth a try.

I’d take it, but the Netherlands is a lot nearer than Swansea!

You can also ring the ticket-office and donate your seat for use by the Ipswich Town Foundation on whichever matches you care to nominate.

Thanks for the replies! I will ring the ticket office and ask what the options are. If it's possible for the club to gift out a temporary card for these few matches, I will post again on the forum and look for anyone who might be interested.

These days that paper ticket for a particular game can be emailed to you by the ticket office, so that you can pass it on to someone else electronically. But as far as I am aware, it works only on a game by game.

You could then advertise it on here a few days in advance of each game you miss, and I am sure you won't struggle to find a taker.

This. If you email the ticket office ahead of the game they'll issue you a 'paper' ticket via email, which you can then pass on to someone else. A kind TWTDer may even be willing to give you some money towards the cost.

If you get stuck with a ticket you cant sell, you can donate it to the foundation (charitable bit) and they will pass it on to one of their many partner organisations.

As simple as phoning the ticket office and asking them to pass on your ticket.
