MPs could vote on Premier League free-to-air plan 07:19 - Jul 8 with 453 viewsMark

The Lib Dems proposal is 10 Premier League games a season, League Cup Final and the play-off finals on free-to-air TV. It sounds a good idea to me.

They’re laying it on a bit thick, as there’s no way this will be a “free-to-air revolution that gives the Premier League back to the country." Sky alone are going to be showing 215 PL games this season. And the agreement’s long signed, so they’re committed to the costs and will find a way to pass them on whatever the Lib Dem’s manage get through in this amendment.

The independent regulator part of the proposed bill is FAR more important and needed imo.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
