The result is great, but the manner of it much better. That was a scrappy game until our quality really told. Unlike at Portman Rd we took it to a niggly, limited side and crushed them as the last half an hour played out.
The biggest thing today was how happy everyone was for Azon. Mugged by his teammates like he mugged the swans at the back post. But all the fans too were chuffed for him. He’s got more songs than goals now, but that will hopefully more common than a player scoring 2 own goals in a game, or us winning 4-1 two away games running.
Today was a game for Taylor and Mcateer their work rate and disciplined approach to the basics really told. I’d have had the latter in contention for Motm today while he was on the pitch. It’s troublesome we can’t keep a clean sheet, but it’s nice we didn’t sh1t the bed either.
