what's the bigger risk though, potentially losing furlong for soton or millwall or putting him on the bench for wednesday? i don't think the 2 dropped points yesterday would've changed the calculation that much

We need to put our best foot forward, get the win in the bag and the week on the training ground before Millwall. If we get suspensions so be it, ideally not but that's why we have a squad.

i'd hate to go into southampton and millwall without mehmeti or nunez though. surely, our squad ought to be able to get the job done against wednesday without them?

With injuries I think its different, ultimately if they're not fit they're not fit. Those towing the yellow card tightrope I think we just need not overthink it. Pick the team that gives us the best chance of winning the game in question and cross those bridges (suspension bridges?) if and when they come. Wednesday are down and we should have too much, but to their credit they're still scrapping for pride and we shouldn't take anything for granted. Go there, professional job, 3 points thank you very much, full focus on Wall. [Post edited 11 Mar 17:11]

If the new players can't beat the worst team in the history of English football then so be it. we're going to have to play them at some point in this run so might as well be against this team.

Are they much better than Stoke reserves/U12's? Let's hope not.

Weds have pulled off a few draws of late and I suspect are better than many think but yes we ought to be able to play a number of second string players with our mega money squad and still win.
