De Vos a Worry
De Vos a Worry

Skipper Jason De Vos is expected to miss training this morning due to a dead leg and is considered a doubt for Saturday's trip to Southend. De Vos suffered the injury in training yesterday.

If De Vos fails to make it Richard Naylor is likely to join Alex Bruce at the heart of the defence at Roots Hall with recent signing Ian Miller perhaps getting his first call on to the first team bench.

Miller has impressed in the reserves and is one of a number of players who have been the subject of loan enquiries in recent weeks, others include James Krause and Darryl Knights, while Millwall would love to keep Danny Haynes who returns when his one-month spell ends after the weekend.

Another possible central defensive option should De Vos miss out is Fabian Wilnis. The Dutchman has moved into the centre on a number of occasions in the last few season.

Boss Jim Magilton has played down Wilnis's comments in the wake of the Preston game. Wilnis complained that he had been left out of the side for two games prior to the match against the Lilywhites in which he made two vital errors. Magilton was never pleased at being left out of the side himself and so isn't surprised that other players are similarly unhappy.
