Holland Will Be Fit
Holland Will Be Fit
Wednesday, 28th Feb 2001 09:41

Town skipper Matt Holland has insisted that he will be fit to play for Ireland this evening in their match against Denmark. Holland has suffered a little tightness in his calf during training with the Irish squad.

Holland stands a good chance of making a start for the Irish with Mark Kinsella definitely out and Roy Keane a doubt. Holland said: "I'm ready to play if the game goes ahead. The calf was a bit stiff towards the end of training on Sunday but I have had no problems since."

The game is also in some doubt. Dublin had five inches of snow yesterday and the players didn't train. The decision will be made late this morning.

Jim Magilton will also be hoping that the Northern Irish match against Norway will be on this evening. Magilton will win his 45th cap should the game go ahead.

Yesterday's U21 game between the two sides in Belfast was called off.

Send your good wishes to Richard Naylor who is again suffering knee injury problems. Click the link on the Message Board: http://wwww.twtd.co.uk/messsages
