Bowditch Refused Cup Permission Thursday, 29th Nov 2007 11:33 The Blues have refused Northampton Town permission to play Dean Bowditch in their second round FA Cup tie at home to Walsall this Saturday. Bowditch has joined the Cobblers on a month's loan, making his debut as a sub last weekend, coincidentally also against the Saddlers. Northampton boss Stuart Gray said: "Ipswich won't allow Dean Bowditch to play in the FA Cup, which is understandable." The Blues have given permission for Sammy Moore to play in the cup for Brentford and for Matt Richards and George O'Callaghan to take part in Brighton's campaign, although O'Callaghan is suspended for their tie at Torquay after his red card for violent conduct at the weekend. Jordan Rhodes, now back at Portman Road and a scorer in the reserves last night, was cup-tied during his spell at Oxford United, while the Blues refused Darlington permission to play Ian Miller in cup competitions.
