Boss Jim Magilton has commented on Thursday's car accident involving himself David Sheepshanks and Charlie Woods on Thursday evening. The trio, and club player liaison officer Wolfe Powell, were all briefly taken to hospital after the crash on the A12 as they returned to Ipswich from London City Airport.

Magilton said: "I got a whack on my head and I have some bruising. It all happened so quickly. All l can remember is that there was a big shunt from behind.

"We all came out of it relatively unscathed. It could've been a lot worse than it was, but thankfully no one was seriously hurt.

"The Essex Fire and Rescue and Ambulance Services were at the scene really quickly and did a thoroughly professional job."

Magilton was back on the Town training ground at Playford Road yesterday afternoon as the Blues prepared for Sunday's derby.

The Toyota Land Cruiser in which the Town party were travelling is a write-off. Yesterday, chairman David Sheepshanks outlined how the accident occurred in greater detail.
