Fulham Defender Bocanegra Joins Rennes Friday, 20th Jun 2008 14:17 Reported Town target Carlos Bocanegra has joined French side Rennes after being released by Fulham. The USA international was mentioned in connection with the Blues, although there was never any confirmation from the club that the 29-year-old was on Jim Magilton's summer short-list. Meanwhile, Rangers midfielder Alan Gow's move to Burnley appears to have finally collapsed. Gow, linked with the Blues on a number of occasions over the years, most recently earlier in the week, is now said to be ready to resume his career with the Gers, although it seems more likely that the Scotland B international will move on elsewhere during the close season. Gow's switch to Turf Moor had been part of the deal which will see Town target Kyle Lafferty join Rangers. The SPL side are now expected to pay further cash to the Clarets to complete the 20-year-old Northern Ireland striker's move.
