Former Town striker Mick Hill has died at the age of 60. Hill scored 20 goals in 74 starts and three sub appearances for the Blues between 1969 and 1972.

Hill joined Town from Sheffield United in October 1969 for a fee of £33,000 and left for Crystal Palace for £35,000 in December 1973.

The Hereford-born frontman, who started his career with Bethesda Athletic, was capped twice by Wales while at Portman Road.

Hill, whose later seasons with the Blues were hit by injuries, is best remembered by Town fans of that era for scoring the winning goal in a 1-0 home victory over Liverpool in October 1970.
