Honduran left-sided midfielder or full-back Emilio Izaguirre has finally arrived in England for his trial with the Blues, according to reports in his home country. Izaguirre was initially expected more than a week ago, but was unable to travel due to a mix-up with tickets.

The 22-year-old is set to spend 15 days with the Blues and says he has been told he will be involved in a game on Wednesday, presumably Town's friendly at Gillingham.

According to Honduran reports, the Blues and his club Motagua have already agreed the principles of a move should Izaguirre impress the Town management during his stay.

Clubs in Italy, Spain and Mexico are also said to have been keen on the man known as El Milo, who has won 20 caps with his full national side and was part of the Honduran U20 team which took part in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championships in Holland.

Meanwhile, Town's U14s open their campaign at the Dana Cup in Denmark this morning with a game against Swedish side Höllvikens GIF. Later this afternoon they take on Norwegian club Tertnes FB in what is one of the largest youth tournaments in Europe, with 832 teams from 44 nations participating.
