£250,000 to Sack Jim?
£250,000 to Sack Jim?

Town could potentially have to pay out around £250,000 to manager Jim Magilton if he was sacked, according to reports this morning. Magilton is contracted to the Blues until the summer of 2010.

The Blues boss's basic deal, agreed in November 2007, is believed to be worth around £200,000 a season and would still be due if he was relieved of his duties.

However, a settlement for a lower figure is usually agreed between departing manager and club, as was the case when Joe Royle left Town by mutual consent in 2006.

Magilton's future continues to be the big talking point amongst supporters with plans for demonstrations prior to Wednesday's game against Nottingham Forest having been picked up by some of the national newspapers this morning.
