Academy striker Connor Wickham is in the England U16 squad for tonight's friendly with Germany in Hoffenheim. Wickham, 15, has so far won two U16 caps, scoring his first goal in the victory over Wales in December.

Wickham, who has already been included in the Town first team squad, has also won four caps at U17 level.

The Colchester-based striker scored a hat-trick in the recent FA Youth Cup win against Crystal Palace but was less effective in the abandoned game against Watford when he was feeling the effects of a hamstring problem.
