N'Guessan Leicester Move Not Done Deal

Lincoln City chairman Steff Wright says midfielder Dany N'Guessan has not agreed a move to Leicester City, contrary to reports earlier in the week. Town are one of a number of sides who have been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old Frenchman.

Wright says talks have begun with Leicester regarding the compensation due as N'Guessan is under 24 and the player has also spoken with the Foxes, but denies that it's a done deal: "Leicester will feel they have a head start on everybody by talking to Dany, but by no means is it cut and dry.

"Although we have started talking to Leicester about a possible compensation package, there is still a long way to go and they still haven't agreed terms with the player.

"I will not name the other clubs but there are others waiting to talk to Dany and they have made their interest known to us.

"Dany's contract doesn't officially expire until June 30th so he has plenty of time to make his decision about who he will join.

"It's still very early and I expect there to be further developments in the next week."

Town were first linked with N'Guessan last month and the Blues have regularly watched the former Auxerre and Rangers player this season, most recently on the final day of the League Two season.

Reading, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday and Crystal Palace are also amongst those to have been linked with the 6ft 1in tall left-sided winger or frontman.

Meanwhile, the names of Marcus Evans's new race horses are reportedly Ipswich Lad, Portman Boy, Suffolk Punch and Trewarthenick. Reports earlier in the week revealed that the Town owner had invested in four two-year-old horses which are stabled with trainer Andrew Balding, three with Ipswich or Suffolk-related names. The fourth is named after the estate in Cornwall which Evans bought last year.
