Town have confirmed that midfielder Tommy Miller is joining Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer, as first revealed by TWTD a fortnight ago. Miller was released by the Blues at the end of the season and will sign a two-year deal at Hillsborough when his Town contract ends on June 30th.

Thw 30-year-old was previously a loan target for Owls manager Brian Laws in January and almost joined them in the summer of 2007 prior to signing for the Blues.

The ex-Sunderland man told TWTD shortly after re-joining the Blues that he had been close to becoming an Owl at that point: "I nearly signed for Sheffield Wednesday. I spoke to Brian Laws pretty much as soon as the season finished but he needed a player to move out before he could bring me in. So I could have been facing Ipswich on the first day of the [2007/08] season!”

During his third spell with Town, Miller made 63 starts and 12 sub appearances, scoring 11 goals.
