Town will discover their Carling Cup first round opponents at 9.30am this morning when the Football League make the draw. The Blues are amongst the seeded clubs in the regionally split section of the competition.
The Carling Cup's first round is divided between the north and the south, although Town could still get ties as far away as Exeter and Torquay.
Last season, the Blues beat Leyton Orient and Colchester in the trophy before losing at Wigan, all three games having been played at Portman Road.
Town's league fixtures will be announced at 10am on Wednesday morning when they will appear in full on TWTD.
