Town will receive around £400,000 for striker or midfielder Danny Haynes, according to reports in the West Country, although the fee is officially undisclosed. News of Haynes's move to the Robins broke earlier this morning.

The 21-year-old is at Ashton Gate this morning for talks regarding personal terms and a medical. If the deal is completed today, Haynes could be involved in a pre-season friendly against Hereford United at Edgar Street this evening.

Haynes joined the Blues after leaving Charlton's academy – where he had played as a full-back - in 2004 and was a member of the 2005 FA Youth Cup-winning side.

The fleet-footed Londoner, who spent a short spell on loan at Millwall in 2006, has made 43 starts and 85 sub appearances for the Blues, scoring 19 goals, many of them against Norwich City.
