Hearts Pair Linked
Hearts Pair Linked

Town are keeping an eye on Hearts pair Lee Wallace and Jose Goncalves, according to a tabloid report this morning. Manager Roy Keane is said have sent scouts to Scotland on a regular basis this season and is ready to offer £2 million for left-back Wallace in January.

Wallace, 22, came through the youth system at Hearts, making his senior debut in 2004. The Edinburgh-born defender won his first full Scotland cap in October, having previously played at U19, U20 and U21 levels. He is contracted to Hearts until 2012.

In 2006 Wallace was fined £1,500 for possessing an airgun and earlier this year was fined £1,100 after a bust-up with bouncers outside a nightclub.

Goncalves, 24, plays either at left-back or centre-half and is out of contract next summer. The Blues are said to be considering offering the former Portuguese U21 international a pre-contract agreement in January ahead of a Bosman move next summer.

The Lisbon-born defender previously played for Swiss sides Basel, Winterthur and Thun, having been brought up in Switzerland, in Italy with Venezia, in Lithuania with Kaunas and last season was on loan at Nuremberg in Germany.

The report also again claims that Town have had a bid turned down by Stoke for defensive pair Leon Cort and Danny Higginbotham, something which Roy Keane and Tony Pulis have both denied.

Meanwhile, Town’s reserves are in action against Haverhill Rovers in the quarter-finals of the LB Group Suffolk Premier Cup at Portman Road this evening (KO 7.45pm).

CGK Whats wrong with being a farmer???? Bin one all me life work hard and although I live in Devon I get to way more games than you. There are people on here like me who have genuine views on Keane, mine I think are well known like UEFA81, who is someone I respect.

Single handedly you have helped gain support for Keane with your stupid postings and bragging.

I'll continue with reasoned argument, whatever you say now will only be treated as a joke, enjoy Vegas, hopefully enough to stay there!!!!

"I pray this mess ends sooner or later so we can get on with talking about the club & the games rather than the controversy that follows our current manager around with him everywhere he goes."

That will only happen when Keane has gone. Speed the day!

At the end of the day lads there is still a long way to go and i firmly belive there are alot of other clubs alot worse than town , i know the table dos'nt lie town are there because they simply havn't been good enough SO FAR but it is a marathon and not a sprint , the defending is getting better and as for goals i think when Priskin manages to get his brain in gear with his feet he will score goals there is talent there .

Lightningboy, please dont feel i am taking everything you say to task,i am not.
I just wanted to maybe put another view on your previous post regarding RK and his controversy.

RK is a big name in football.
He, as a player, rightly or wrongly, (i feel wrongly) courted controversy, and, thrived on it.
The more he "acted" like RK was "supposed" to act, the more the press vilified him, and the more he felt the need to act out.
He was (and i hope is) a winner, and thinks like a winner,if you dont think like him, he feels that perhaps your view is not valid, sounds like a few people on here dont it?
Now as our manager, that controversy that you seem to have a problem with, still follows him around, in the shape of the red top press.
They didnt like him as a player (neither did i), but how do you knock a world class winner?
Now the "vultures" are circling, they see a chink in RK's armour, and whilst he is (ihate to say it) down, lets kick him for all the times we couldnt before,.

All the controversy isnt now RK's making, if we all got behind him, and showed the gutter press that they cant get to us or one of ours (RK) perhaps they will go and find another person to make their life a misery.

And dont forget, all we know about Keane is what we read in these papers, and i took advice earlier and read oldgits forum, and it seems to me that there maybe 2 RK's 'cos the won OG wrote about doesnt exist in the papers!!!

JUST A THOUGHT
