Magilton Leaves QPR
Magilton Leaves QPR
Thursday, 17th Dec 2009 08:58

Former boss Jim Magilton has parted company with QPR “by mutual consent” along with his assistant John Gorman. Magilton was suspended last week after allegations that he headbutted midfielder Akos Buzsaky in a dressing room bust-up after their defeat to Watford.

A QPR statement says: “Recent events have been widely reported and whilst Jim Magilton completely denies the allegations, with the full support of John Gorman, it has been agreed that it is in the best interests of the club and Jim Magilton if the parties move on in their separate ways.

“The club would like to wish both Jim Magilton and John Gorman good luck in the future and thank them for their hard work.”

Magilton was sacked by Town in April and joined the West London club in the summer.

QPR have appointed former Portsmouth boss Paul Hart as Magilton's replacement.

just look at everyone who wants keane out, then 3 managers in that time have been sacked and it gets the club & fans nowhere. im certainly behind keane and he'll come good in the end.

Hmmm... lets be honest was never going to result in anything but him leaving the club irrespective of whether anything actually happened! Glad he's not coming back to PR with them though! Whilst it would have been amusing to see the grief he would have got - pound to a penny a dodgey goal off someones arse would probably given them a lucky/undeserved win - just because that's how our luck has been this season! Not to mention he would be smug as sh#t in his post match! Personally I'm thinking his next job will be with the Irish FA! Roll on Crimbo though and lets get some goals and a few more points on the board! (And here's hoping Chuck gets a little run out on the 28th!)

Regardless of my opinion of Jim, I said at the time he'd be out before QPR visit us just based on Flavio's track record of sacking managers when they've only just got their office the way they like it. I think a job in NI beckons next...

I think he should go down to League 1. I think he'd do a good job given time and less pressure.

No idea why he went to QPR. No-one has lasted more than 5 mins since the idiots with the money took over.

I see they've taken Paul Hart on. So, yet another low grade manager that hasn't had proven success. Glad I'm not a QPR fan, their board are numpties.

Maybe Magic isnt the best example of managment material but I wont ever forget the hat trick he scored against Bolton. Whinging Allardyce and his second rate slug in comparison to Super Jonny Warks Marevellous Moustache!!

Pity we didn't get rid of him when he (allegedly) did the same thing here. We might of had a bit more time for RK to settle in AND we might still have one of the brightest young goalscoring prospects on the books.

Berts_chin: one of the stupidest posts I've seen.

So you're blaming Magilton for Keane selling Rhodes and for getting us the worst start to a season in our history?

Quite remarkable.

Poor Jim seems the harsh world of football management is just that. Roy will survice at Town and I honestly hope he does well, but his hardman image is abag od spanners and I wish he'd bin it and be more reasonable.

Rumours of norn irish people being biggoted and hotheaded are just that. We are a kind bunch really!

Jim has actually been freed up so that he can spend more time at the Copenhagen Summit using his diplomatic skills to negotiate a climate change deal.....

Best of luck Jim..you're too good to put up with all that nonsense at QPR.
Hope you find a better job soon.

The writing was on the wall for Jim, culminating in Akos Buzsaky following team orders and allegedly launching his face into Magic's forehead.

On a serious note, despite having some concerns over one or two of Keano's decisions(e.g. triple substitution against Preston) you have to give a manager time and we are starting to see the rewards, RK seems to be getting some of the basics right and we are on the up. QPR's predicament? well it beggars belief!

Well Jim lasted a month longer than i thought he would, does that count as a successful stay at qpr.

Is it right that Paul Hart's name has been written on the managers door in chalk just in case?
0

dobbie73 added 16:49 - Dec 17
Bergholtblue - lol! But I heard that QPR no longer have the manager's name written on the door. All it says is "THE MANAGER" ... cheaper when the guys last an average of 3 months!!
