Who Was Town's Player of the Decade?
Monday, 21st Dec 2009 11:48

As the noughties come to a close, we thought it was time for TWTD users to name their Town Player of the Decade.

Which player contributed most to the club in the years 2000-2009? Add your nomination in the Comments section below saying why you feel they are worthy of the award and we'll subsequently run a poll on the site involving the most popular candidates.

Jermaine Wright was a horrendous player, never liked him. Great shout for titus as he was superb in Europe for us. Despite his lack of form at the toon, he was a great player for us. There is also players like Gaardsoe and Kelvin Davies. In the 90's we had some great strong gritty players, but the 00's also threw out some crackers. here's hoping the one-der years will be fruitfull for us as well.

ITFCson is a tit for suggesting that GIO is the player of the decade he played like 3 games for us!!!!!

What about the likes of....
1.Matt Holland
2.Herman Heridersson
3.Martijn Reuser
4.Fabien Wilnis
5.Darren Bent
6.Shefki Kuqi
7.James Scowcroft
8.David Johnson
9.Richard Naylor
10.Jason De Vos
11.Richard Wright

All of these players are a lot more qualified to be named player of the decade than GIO!!!!!!!!

It's interesting that Elvin from the EADT mentioned he was doing this on the Rob Chandler / Kevin Beattie show on Radio Suffolk on Saturday as he was short of copy for today's paper as the game had been called off - I haven't seen the EADT today, what was his conclusion?

Fabian Wilnis
Richard Naylor
Shefki Kuqi

The first two because they really were excellent servants to the club and carried on regardless of many difficulties during that period. Shefki because he made every game exciting , you never knew what was going to happen with him. All three loved the Town even though Shefki shot off to Blackburn.

Richard Wright, Marcus Stewart, Matt Holland, Fabian Wilnis, Martijn Reuser, Jim Magilton - that is the nominees because our time in The Premier League and the play off-season was the best of the decade.

But I can't choose

Has to be Marcus Stewart who can remember that hat trick against Southampton?

But have to mention Wilnis, Magilton, Holland and McGreal (who was brilliant for us at the back) who helped us in the priemership. While D Bent and Garvan have both been brilliant for us aswell.

Bodytalk.....Before calling me a tit you should read and pay attention to what i wrote. Yes i did at 1st mention gio, however after being corrected on the actual article i then realised it was asking for the player of the decade in terms on contribution to the club and i ammended my original comment. Its obvious gio is the most talented player to play for us in this decade in terms of ability, just as it is obvious that he has NOT contributed the most to the club. And btw, if i was a tit i'd have a mononipple, and last i checked i had 2.
