Rosenior: Keane is Celebrity Big Brother Fan
Rosenior: Keane is Celebrity Big Brother Fan
Wednesday, 20th Jan 2010 14:44

Loanee full-back Liam Rosenior has revealed that boss Roy Keane is a fan of Celebrity Big Brother. Rosenior says the Blues manager has spoken to the squad about the reality TV show.

Speaking on the Football League Podcast, Rosenior said: "I was always a Manchester United fan and used to pretend to be him as a little kid - but he is a normal guy.

"He talks about stuff like Celebrity Big Brother. He asks us if we watch it and whether we are interested in it.

"You think that he is such a legend that they are almost beyond things like that!"

Rosenior, who is on loan with the Blues from Reading until the end of the season, is clearly a big fan of Keane’s management: "I have had a lot of good managers in my career. Keane is the best.

"He knows every player in the league, has a great memory and such an in-depth knowledge of the game. It is going to make us better as players - and as a team.

"You can see we play good football. It was only a matter of time that the performances would be converted into results."

Keane recently said that he was delighted with Rosenior’s performances for the Blues and would look at making his move a permanent one soon.

But this is such a surprise. I thought Keane was a thug, despised and feared by his players.

Good work Liam. Good to hear you debunking some of the lazy myths of the Keane haters. Stay with us lad.

Excellent player too.

We really need to try to sort out a deal for Rosenior a.s.a.p. Might be an idea to sort out a (probably small) fee with Reading to sign him permanently in the transfer window - with his contract up in the summer, I don't think we should risk letting him get to the stage of becoming a free agent...

Agree with BlueBoots, he is looking the best RB in the Championship and most Premiership sides could do far worse than to have him in their squad and for me that is a fear, if he carries on with the current form he will be in the team of the year for RB and that will put him in a lot of light for a lot of clubs to offer him a contract!

Reading this I can't help but think Rosenior has just created the classic 'child embarrassing their parent' moment! Brilliant!

Roy has to thin his squad a bit so he is getting rid of the saddo's next, which is why he is asking which ones watch big brother.

Totally agree with you Franz. All I have seen from TV interviews and on the radio is that Roy Keane is a well spoken, mild manner gent. I'm sure I wouldn't have liked to be in the dressing at the start of the season mind but I genuinely think he is the best thing Ipswich have had for a long time. Everyone was worried he was going to up sticks and shoot of early but if you think about and in my mind he will be with us for another 3-4 years. Get us into the premier league, cement us a good premier league club. prove that he has the staying power and then take the reigns at Manchester United.

The man is a legend and as town fans I think we can be thanful to have him in charge.

We could do with a Vinny Jones in our side !!
Must admit slightly disagree about the good football comment. Hardly attractive passing football. Keane's stlye is very direct. Which is not a bad thing if we want to get out of this division quickly.

who'd win in a straight fight between Vinny Jones (of Celebrity Big Brother - if he's still in it??? Sorry Roy I'm not an avid) and Roy Keane. Queensbury rules of course!

His in-depth knowledge of Lee Martin was clearly lacking...

interesting question.... Naylor's a pussy compared to those two !
Anyone watch the Manchester Derby last night... What is it about Bellamy that annoys me... I would pay good money to see Bellamy crunched in between a Keane and Vinny Jones 50/50 tackle...

Vinnie Jones or Roy Keane?? I would have to say it would probably be like Apollo Creed Vs Rocky when they go toe to toe and knock each other out at the same time. However Roy shorter and lighter and would pull himself up and win and then stamp on Vinnies head.

Maybe Keano is continually voting to get Vinny evicted.

"C'mon Triggs, you help me, here's another phone, keep pressing the red button!"

TractorToyNo1 - true, good goal wasnt it... but over 90 minutes ? (or 97 minutes) some of passing was poor... but like I said if Keane's tactics can get us out of or up this division quickly then I don't really care... Still think there is something missing and not only a good striker..

I would be more worried if he enjoyed watching "Big Top" or "So you think you can dance"!

bluepeter added 19:04 - Jan 20
maybe they could give priskin a task to score a goal?

Bluemonday, I don't think it would be that easy to play good attractive football on such a soaked pitch, it was very wet! I think we have been playing good football, and I woud like to point out that Stern John has a very good pass on him and am actually happy he stayed after his performance, not just his goal!
