Garvan in Irish U21 Squad

Midfielder Owen Garvan has been named in the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for their European Championship qualifier against Armenia in Dublin on March 3rd.

Garvan has skippered the Irish U21s this season and has previously won 14 caps at that level.

You forget he's only 22. A good player, lots of time to learn & still has potential. Already got lots of match experience. Most clubs at our level would be building teams around people like him.

Good luck Owen Garvan! I'm sure Ireland will at least play attractive football...more than I can expect to see for the rest of the season at PR. It's times like this that I am tempted to lend my two season tickets out for the duration until we get a new manager!
