Carling Cup Draw and League Fixtures Released This Week
Carling Cup Draw and League Fixtures Released This Week
Monday, 14th Jun 2010 10:19

Fans can start preparing for 2010/11 in earnest later this week with the draw for the first round of the Carling Cup on Wednesday and the release of the league fixtures on Thursday.

The Carling Cup draw will be held at 9.30am on Wednesday with the Blues amongst the seeded clubs in the southern section. The regional nature of the draw doesn’t mean that there isn’t the possibility of a long trip, with Town having been given a visit to Shrewsbury at this stage a year ago.

Burnley and Hull City, as the clubs involved in round one highest placed in last year’s league tables, have been handed a bye to round two.

TWTD will have Town's full programme of league fixtures available on the site as soon as they are officially released at 9am on Thursday.

Keep the cup. I can't face another embarassing early exit. Donny, Notts Co, MKD, P'boro have made us a laughing stock each year.

Ill take Shrewsbury in the Cup... best game of the last season I M O crackin crowd plenty of goals .. second string of players who were up for a good game and we won on penalties thanks to some last gasp saving from a certain Mr Supple.. glary days.

"There isn't the possibility of a long trip"–Torquay, Exeter... even Shrewsbury. Not exactly short. Home draw, please (that is allowed, right?).

Strange that Nottingham Forest are in the north section and Notts County are in the south. Surely that should've been the other way round?
