Rodgers Set for Swansea
Rodgers Set for Swansea
Thursday, 15th Jul 2010 14:48

Former Reading and Watford boss Brendan Rodgers is reported to be on the verge of being named the new manager of Swansea City. Rodgers was understood to be amongst Roy Keane’s targets for the new role of Town assistant manager.

Swansea are believed to have offered the 37-year-old the job recently vacated by Paulo Sousa and Rodgers is understood to have accepted the post. The ex-Chelsea reserve coach is expected to be officially named the Swans’ new boss at the weekend.

At the end of last month, Keane said he was no nearer to naming his deputy but would be looking to focus more on finding the right man in the weeks to come.

Underwelmed with everything at the moment, I doubt thats anything to do with keane, however who would love something to cheer about, like a new player coming in. The nearest we've got is Gary Ablett and the return of Cavelli!

Well I wouldn't want it..I fear the start of the season, morale is low in this club and currently there are no positives other than a couple of promosing youngsters...in the current climate I bet the thoughts are crossing Wickhams mind, what would it be like at Spurs/Arsenal??

Jas0999 what season of magilton's was ever worse than last season? What makes keane so much better than Jim? I'd bring him back any day of the week to replace the monkey that currently sits in the managers chair!
