TWTD Prediction League 2010/11 Plus Two Fantasy Leagues Wednesday, 4th Aug 2010 08:03 It’s that time again! The first match of the season kicks off on Saturday and we’d like you to register your predictions on the TWTD Prediction League 2010/11. There are also two TWTD Fantasy Leagues being run this season. The Prediction League is the same basic competition we’ve been running since August 2000. You predict the score and first scorer of each match and you get points based on your accuracy. You get three points if you get the scoreline spot on plus a bonus of the number of goals in that game (so an accurate prediction of 1-3 would get you three points and a bonus of four). If you don’t get the score right but correctly guess that it will be an away win, for example, you’ll be awarded one point. The Prediction League only covers league matches. The overall winner of the competition will receive £150 of Amazon vouchers. Last year’s joint-victors were Lee Smith's My_Left_Foot and JPM, managed by Jonathan Markwell, on 65 points each. Lee won for the second year running and is clearly the man to beat. To get started, go to our Prediction League page and enter your predictions for Saturday's game at Middlesbrough. You can make any number of predictions for a match, but only the last one will count. So, if we sign a prospective 20-goal striker tomorrow, just log in and change your prediction! Meanwhile, two free fantasy football leagues will be running throughout the season. TWTD Message Boarder Ipswichdj has set up a league involving Championship players which can be found here. The PIN is 515. Gav has set up a top flight-based league here, for which the PIN is 519499-125018.
