Town Topic: Who Should Replace Keane?
Town Topic: Who Should Replace Keane?

With Roy Keane sacked 20 months into his Portman Road tenure, who would you like to replace him?

Paul Jewell is the early front-runner, Chris Hughton, Gary Megson and Alan Curbishley have all been linked, but who do you want?

Like most, definitely not:
1. Fat Sam
2. Megson
3. Jewell
4. Magilton

Would be happy with:
1. O'Niell (but no chance!)
2. Wilkins
3. O'Driscoll
4. Curbishley
5. Mowbray

With Matty Holland as Assistant Manger for any of the above.

Curbishley should have his hunger for the game restored by now and Charlton is/was a club of our size.

Anyone who plays football the right way will do. That rules out some of the main contenders in Jewell, Fat Sam, Megson. oh and I don't thing Houghton would be much good with our club.

Personally
1. Martin O'Neil - dream on pretty much
2. Alan Curbishley
3. Burley (till end of season then re-evaluate)
4. O'Driscoll
5. Terry Butcher
6. Give it a week n Hodgson will be available

Paul Jewell is not the man, he's a long ball manager, who will get us no where! I don't see why we got rid of Keane just to get gary megson or paul jewell, we might've just kept keane! Alan Curbishley is the man! he should've got it way back, he's the man, not chris hughton, curbz got charlton up, stayed with them for four years in the prem, 3 years they were in the top half, and then went to west ham and kept them up, he gets quality players, he got charlton darren bent, he knows how to do it. Curbishley should without a doubt get the job.

If dreams came true - O'neil.
Realistic (maybe) - Curbs with Matty as right hand man.

However would have no problem with Jewell, who I think has a very good track record with very unfashionable clubs and if not Hughton who I would of thought would be very hungry to get back in the game to prove a point if nothing else.

Megson = please no for the love of GOD - BORING AND VERY SCUM LIKE

What about Butcher ICT have done really well and having seen them a couple of times they play good football. Perhaps we could have a team of Scots instead of Paddy - I knew there was a flaw!

How about David Beckham as Player Manager. Failing that it would have to be Martin O'Neil for me, we need someone who can speak Irish

to be honest every candidate has their pros and cons, going by evans and cleggs football knowledge it wouldnt surprise me if they threw a dart at their pictures on a dartboard, weve got a reasonable squad just need pointing in the right direction and prehaps the score one more than them attitude/ shoot on sight mentality installed, i just want some entertainment for my hard earned...............coyb

Fat Sam, would not come - too far south, he would get a nose bleed.
Martin O'Neil, we are not big enough for his ego
Phil Jewel, Scouse accent need I say more, and more wrongs than rights
Megson, tactics crap, boring personality.
O'Driscoll, he wouldn't leave Donny for Sheff Utd, so why would he come here.

Only person available and local - Curbishley, I know not the best but available & experienced
