Town Topic: Who Should Replace Keane?
Town Topic: Who Should Replace Keane?

With Roy Keane sacked 20 months into his Portman Road tenure, who would you like to replace him?

Paul Jewell is the early front-runner, Chris Hughton, Gary Megson and Alan Curbishley have all been linked, but who do you want?

Not Megson!! Not Strachan!! Not Southgate!! Like most i'd like Alladyce, O'Neill, Jol, but lets be real these are unlikely, Poyet may be a good shout, I'd be ok about Jewell coming in, But I think Curbishley would still be my first choice.

Curbishley
Keegan
Hughton
Hoddle

I'd be happy with Jewell though, but definitely not Megson - can the club please release an official statement saying that they definitely wont be appointing Megson!

If clegg is confident that it'll be sorted by next week then its either hughton Jewel or Curbs. i'm sure they were sounding someone out in last few days but sure it wont be big sam or MON.
Of the rest, Wilkins would be interesting. I'd love to see the list of applicants, we might be surprised.

The way evans works with his side kick , I am sure the replacement is lined up and its crossing the Ts and dotting the i,s.
One thing is for sure on his past performance Evans don't give a f*** about what the fans want or think, after all we are just the no bodies of this club now.
ALSO sacking keene has not returned the club to us its still Marcus Evans FC.

Steve McLaren looks like he may be out of a job soon, great club manager and has a very untapped base of players in the German & Dutch leagues that a lot of managers in England won't know about...

Any one out of about six that would help to get unemployment down & they could be on job seekers allowance

Curbs or O'Neil would be my choices, but not at all realistic. O'Driscoll would be great - but again unlikely.

Think we need experience so Hughton may be ruled out. Megson would be a very poor appointment and as I stated on another thread - Roy's managerial record is BETTER than Jewell's! His performance at Derby is a real downside - goodness, can you remember the shocking football Derby played? Barely won a game!

However, whoever the manager is I'll continue to support the team. Will always give the manager a chance.

Martin O'Neil
And you know there is a certain Liverpool manager who knew how to get Fulham passing the legs off the opposition.

The loud mouth git who sits behind me seams to always know best, I think we should put him in. He thinks his gran could do a better job also, so put her in as assistant!!

On the basis that an astute business man such as ME will already have a man in place I would think that Plan B has always been Curbs
