Plymouth Argyle football consultant Peter Ridsdale says he doesn’t yet know whether striker Rory Fallon will join the Blues permanently when his loan ends on January 22nd. A provisional deal and fee had been agreed between the clubs during Roy Keane’s time as Town manager if the New Zealand international impressed in his two-month spell.

Ridsdale said: “I don’t know what’s going to happen to Fallon. That’s up in the air given the situation with the Ipswich management.”

Fallon, 28, has scored one goal in four starts and two sub appearances since joining the Blues but has also assisted a couple more Town strikes.

Meanwhile, former Blues loanee Andros Townsend, who scored on his Tottenham debut in a 3-0 FA Cup victory over Charlton at the weekend, says he believes he did well during his time with the Blues.

The midfielder’s spell was cut short last month having been in and out of the Town side since signing on loan for the season in August.

He said: “I thought I played well when I was given the chance at Ipswich. I just took my form into the Charlton match and hopefully I have shown everyone here what I can do.

"I would like to stay here but I might have to go on another loan and prove myself to the manager and the coaching staff.

"I haven't spoken to the manager about it. Maybe in the next few days we'll sit down and see where my future lies."

depends on the fee and the wages, but no doubt that he's our most in-form striker at the moment!
could be the new kuqi to go with our new joe royle!

I'd actually quite like to keep Fallon, but Pablo and Lisbie can go IMHO.

we need goalscorers not battering rams, with respect to the lad.

Send him back, bring someone in with pace, the difference between Paul Jewell and Roy Keane, is Jewell Can find the bargain's lower Leauge. Did it with Wigan. I would also Rather Pablo, we the right manager you can get the best out of him, Jewell is the Man! Pablo has Got 10 times more skill than Fallon.

whilst Priskens prayers have probably been answered, given the chance to show what he can do and i would guess staying till at least the summer(would have been off under keane in Jan!), i feel Fallons prayers have probably not been answered....

True blue- what has fallon done? Scored a goal, couple of assists, no better than Pablo and Pablo has a lot more skill and will flourish in a footballing team. I think we'll get a hint of Jewell's intentions if he recalls the Spaniard.

Fallon has probably been our best player of late, he has done exactly the job he was brought in to do and I don't think he could have done much more for us. If the fee is sensible I would sign him, he's the only decent target man / hold up striker we have.

Comparing him to Pablo is utterly ridiculous, you might as well compare Fallon to Fulop, as I think they have about as much in common in terms of the role they fill on the football pitch. I love Pablo as much as the next fan, but he's had his time here and more. Time to move on folks, we have good strikers here who will score goals, if Jewell can get us playing the right way, brings a creative player or two in or finds one or two in our squad. It's all about (quality) service.

he's the only player on our books who can hold the ball up and bring scotland into the game - as he did against Leicester - a bargain buy at £200k and £6k / week

Fallon has done OK but not really the quality that we need in my opinion. Im sure there are better players in the lower leagues for decent prices.

I think Fallon would be a good signing, with current problems I can't see us getting in two more strikers, he's also in good form

hopefully fallon doesnt join, he's decent but no better than what we already have, he would just add to the wage bill.
