Connor Wickham came on in the 87th minute as England's U21s beat their Danish counterparts 4-0 in a friendly in Viborg.

The Town frontman will be hoping that he'll be in the starting line-up on Monday evening when the U21 side will be playing at Preston's Deepdale ground against Iceland in another friendly.

I hope he doesn't play - we can't afford for him to get injured!

Ludicrous - I hope all those 'scouts were impressed with Connor's one touch of the ball

At 17 he's plenty of time, and as the commentator said "he's only ever scored 12 goals" . . . . I thought these people are meant to be subject matter experts? and Jason Cundy sat next to him too . .

Still, will do wonders to be around the likes of Sturrage and Welbeck, and indeed pushing them for places. I think he'll get more than 4 mins against Iceland on Monday. Fingers Crossed.

When's his 18th Birthday . . . is it midweek? or is it Monday ??

All the same good luck Connor and Happy Birthday next week too (like he reads TWTD !!)

Stay fit Connor or its us taking in the leisurely talents of "The Big Country" (Mr Scotland). Built for comfort not speed

As very unpopular I may sound, I would be happy if Connor plays and plays well for England U21. That way he can only get his price up and I see his selling as the best option to get several quality players to make the difference next season. Yes I know Evans is talking to Jewell for the potential kitty but I don't expect that kitty to help us bring more than a couple of good players and 2-3 more average like the whole lot that Jim and Keane got before Jewell. If we get some serious money from Connor we can at least get strikers on the 5 million mark and still be able to attract them with nice wages. And while that move will not help Connor as a player I agree, it will help the club a lot and that is what matters in the end!

Let's hope he starts on Monday - I'm going to the game! COYB.

If he gets injured - either we recall Pablo.... or I'll get my boots out.

So he was brought on just to waste a bit of time at the end, what a waste of time ! Has so much to give.
