Town Reveal New Home Shirt
Friday, 8th Apr 2011 07:26

Town have revealed the new home shirt for the 2011/12 season, which will be officially launched at Planet Blue on Saturday.

The shirts are available for order from the club’s online store from 9am today with Planet Blue and telephone sales via 01473 400501 starting from 9am on Saturday.

As previously, the first 5,000 shirts will feature three stars representing Town’s three major trophies. These will be sold on a strictly first come, first served basis.

Pre-ordered shirts will be ready for collection from Saturday 2nd July with deliveries dispatched from the warehouse the previous day.

The closing date for pre-ordering the new shirt, which makes reference to the pinstripe look of the early eighties, is Saturday 18th June.

Next season is the 50th anniversary of the club being league champions.
I was under the impression that next season's shirt was going to be based on the boys of 62 - simple blue shirt, white v-neck collar, white sleeves with blue trim. A bit like what Burnley were wearing last season (except theirs was claret & blue obviously). Would have been much classier.
No, for the first time in supporting ITFC for 30-odd years, I have to say I'm really disappointed with the new home shirt, a complete re-hash of the last 2 shirts. My advice - save your money if you have the last 2 shirts, just cut them up and stitch them together, you'll have exactly the same thing.

Why do kits have to be so bleeding fussy?

I actually really liked the Play-Off winning top of 2000 - nice colour blue with a white stripe on the shoulders/arms.

Saying that the 'Marcus Evans' logo would ruin any top going - what a crap logo!!!

I quite like it, although I agree it is basically a hash of the current and previous kits. Good point about the 50th anniversary of the league championship - it would have been nice to have a replica of the early-60s style for next season, even if it was for one year (like Arsenal's commemorative dark red kit of a year or two back).

i was told that itfc were in talks to return to addidas for next season but couldn't agree on a deal , they signed a one year rolling deal with mitre. so we probably will have our kit made by someone else for season 2012/13. average looking shirt though.not had a good home shirt since the wembley play off kit.

Was really looking forward to seeing the new shirt but oh dear..it's exactly the same as the pin-stripe one we had 3 seasons ago...come on,where's the imagination guys?..won't be parting with £40+ for something i've already got.

...I do need some new socks for 5-a-side though.

I dont care what it looks like, as long as its blue and white and has our badge on it, then i will be buying :)

Can't understand why it's so un-imaginative..the current Black away kit is stunning-one of the best we've ever had, then they go and let us down with this?!

Hopefully, there'll be a decent one next season...and a poll to let us decide on it.

It's blue and white. That's about all it's got going for it. It certainly looks like Mitre's days are numbered and they've simply gone through the motions with this one.

I go along with the thoughts that something should have been produced along the lines of the 1st Division Champions kit 50 years ago (updated of course). Would have sold in thousands particularly as a one off kit for one year.

But then what would Mitre and the guys that control the finances at ITFC ever know of heritage.

Personally I don't but shirts, but all that matters is the team who wear it & as long as its not yellow & green I don't care one way or another

Alright.....although I'd rather see the club understate what they've won by having a single silver star for the UEFA cup.

I like it? I loved the last two home kits we had so I'm loving the two mixed together :D

Statto72 - That is nothing like our one...
