Pablo and Lisbie's Exits Confirmed Friday, 8th Apr 2011 10:59
Boss Paul Jewell has confirmed that Town will not be offering new deals to on-loan strike pair Pablo Couñago and Kevin Lisbie. Couñago has spent the season with tomorrow's opponents Crystal Palace - and is unavailable under the terms of his loan - while Lisbie has been at Millwall since last summer.
Jewell said: “They will be leaving the club. I haven’t spoken to either of those players and they haven’t been in touch with me, but their futures will be elsewhere.”
Couñago rejoined the Blues for a second spell after being released by Spanish side Malaga in July 2007, while Lisbie signed from Colchester for £750,000 a year later.

devontractorboy Voy a segunda. Buena suerte para el futuro Pabs
As for Lisbie, I forgot how much we paid for that waste of space. He must go in the Finidi George hall of fame.... At least FG showed some class at times, not many tho.
Sadly i won't be at the match tomorrow but if the club doesn't do anything for Pab's which i highly doubt, then i at least hope that at some point maybe during the half time interval that the fans sing his song so that he can hear it reverberating around the stands one last time and he'll know that even if the club doesn't care, the fans do.
Portsmouth at home 3-0, Coventry at home 3-2, Qpr away 3-1 just three great memories of Pablo I can think of off the top of my head. A player that could walk the ball into the net
Laters Kev, people forget that you did infact make a half decent contribution in your first season but let yourself down with all that media cr*p and Keane.
Lisbie was one of Jim's mistakes - a cheap solution to the good striker he never managed to bring in... He was not good at all when at Charlton and the only place he made an impact was Colchester. I wish him all the best though as we never realy gave him a proper welcome and time to adapt even thoguh he scored just after two minutes on his first game... As of Pablo - he is an admirable and likable guy and he has some great skills with the ball but he massively lacks vision, pace and plays just for himself and for fun... That was something that was annoying me even when he was performing very well. I will not miss him a lot. We should get rid of people we are not using at all so that we can get players like Bullard and other at his level to push us to the top 6 next season. Good luck for both of them in the future!
Pablo either brilliant or useless-right time for him to go, he completly owned Narwich in the last derby and his goal against Coventry will never be forgotten!
Good luck Pabs..bit of a shame PJ didn't bring him back for the end of the season just to see what he could get out of him (couldn't be any worse than Priskin)..as for Lisbie, adios you waste of space I guess.
Ahh Pabs. Me and my whole family really rate this guy, given a good run will score goals. Thinks its a shame. As a team we need a bit of that Spanish zest. Buena suerte Pabs!
Pablo you have given us great moments, wish someone could have got you to 'shoot through the laces' and you would have got far more goals? Playing in a 'Gatesy' roll behind a front two and with a bit more aggressive attitude, you could have made the last few seasons, prior to PJ a lot more entertaining? Good luck for the future, and I hope we have the chance to give you a fond farewell at the end of tomorrows game.
Pablo - You will always be up there in our memories like the M.Stewarts and M.Reusers - Good luck in whatever you do and THANK YOU for the memories [APPLAUDS]
Terrible to see Pablo go. Only class player we've had since Reuser and Marcus, (so not surprising we're stuck in the middle of the championship), badly misused and underused despite his off days. Every time I watched Priskin trap the ball about three feet I wished Pablo was playing.
Pablo only showed his class infrequently and spent more time on his arse than his feet, a luxury we could ill afford although i wish him well, could have so much better. Lisbie good riddance.
All the memories come flooding back thinking of our greats, Pablo, Reuser, Stewart.......I'm welling up ! Forgive me for not adding Priskin and Lisbie !
Bad decision on Pablo - it's not as if we have any better strikers on the books at the moment. Can't blame Jewell because he's never met Pablo but Clegg or some other senior person should at least have the decency to thank him for his services and wish him well at todya's game.
