Priskin Strikes as Swans Crush Canaries
Priskin Strikes as Swans Crush Canaries
Saturday, 9th Apr 2011 20:33

On-loan Town striker Tamás Priskin netted the first goal of his loan spell at Swansea as the Welshmen beat Norwich City 3-0 at the Liberty Stadium.

The Hungarian came on as a sub in the 58th minute — his second appearance for the Swans, both from the bench — and completed the scoring in injury time.

Elsewhere, Tommy Smith made his second appearance for Colchester as they beat Rochdale 1-0 at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Bermudian winger Reggie Lambe made his first start for Bristol Rovers as his side lost 2-0 to an Exeter side which included former Blue Marcus Stewart playing the final game of his career. Lambe was subbed after 52 minutes, Stewart entering the fray 14 minutes later and creating the first of Daniel Nardiello’s two goals.

Striker Ronan Murray was an unused sub as Torquay won 3-0 at Bradford, while keeper Ian McLoughlin, who was told he will be released at the end of the season earlier this week, also spent the afternoon on the bench as Stockport drew 2-2 with Stevenage at Edgeley Park.

Meanwhile, former Town first team coach Tony Loughlan is reported to have moved with his family to Valencia. Inevitably, this has led to speculation that Loughlan's long-term friend Roy Keane might be set to take a job in Spain.

Earlier in the week, Keane was strongly linked with the vacant manager's job at Australian side the Melbourne Victory.

This was fantastic to see, I got in just to see the second half and was glad to see the cheating budgies trailing 2-0. As the second half went on they were getting really wound up and priskin sealed it with a town player (although not in favour at PR), sealing their fate. GLORY GLORY GLORY I wished I taped it so I could watch it over and over again.

Get Priskin back (next season), Scotland is just not a player who can play upfront on his own, too slow and doesnt work hard enough- but for now leave him there and hopefully he can keep scoring and stop our rivals from going up!

my point proven! this guy is a talent! if we leave him there for the rest of the season, get his confidence up! then re-call him, tamas, connor, and a couple more decent strikers, will make sure we are fighting for promotion next season! next season is ours to lose!

COYB!!!!!!!

Good goal by Priskin, but that Ruddy is a idiot... What looked like a two footed challenge could have turned out to be a possible leg breaker... Classic Trash player! Thought he was actually a semi decent keeper but now I thing he is a muppet!

Those of you suggesting that sending Priskin out on loan is a travesty because Priskin is a "talent" is just talking out of their arse. Yes he scored, that means nothing... Scotland has scored more goals with pretty much minimal effort. They are both shocking strikers and we should get rid of them both in the summer.

Well done Tamas, just goes to show what can happen if you are prepared to chase anything. It's a real travesty that you are not still at PR as you are a far better option than Scotland.

Strange really I watched the 2nd half and obviously wanted the Scum to get beaten and wanted Priskin to score just to rub it in. In the end Priskin demonstrated why he must leave Portman Road he just wandered around, couldn't hold the ball up and looked knackered. If that goal prompts someone to buy him great glad to see the back of him.

I agree fully with Carsey ,all those getting excited because Priskin scored an injury time goal in a game all ready won doesnt mean we should bring him back he was poor the rest of the time he was on the pitch as he has been here and we should get rid of a very poor expensive flop . Since he has gone we have scored 2 goals in every game and now Martin is back Wickham can go upfront . Good that the goal was against the scum but thats all
