Jaime Peters has been included in the Canadian squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United States next month. Peters has previously won 25 full caps and has scored one international goal.

The midfielder or full-back will meet up with the rest of the travelling party ahead of a friendly against Ecuador on June 1st in Toronto, prior to their tournament opener against the hosts in Detroit on June 7th.

Canada subsequently take on Guadeloupe on June 11th in Tampa and Panama on June 14th in Kansas City as they look to repeat the success of their 2000 squad, which included ex-Blues Craig Forrest and Jason De Vos.

Tractorboy24 added 14:54 - May 16 Doesn't he get himself in these squads just as he's getting in the first team and then comes back and struggles to get in the side (I think it was U20 WC in 2007 when he had first come on the scene, looked a good prospect and then didn't get in the side, going on loan to Gillingham and Yeovil)

Bottom line is PJ will make the decisions and there is little we can do about it. Jamie has been very unlucky IMO.
