Cropper in US Squad
Cropper in US Squad
Wednesday, 13th Jul 2011 23:43

Academy keeper Cody Cropper has been named in the US U18 squad for the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland, which is being played between July 21st and 30th. Town trio Josh Carson, Caolan Lavery and Cormac Burke have already been named in the Northern Ireland U20 party which is also competing in the Elite section of the prestigious annual tournament.

The US take on Israel on July 25th and Mexico on July 27th before a positional play-off on July 29th, which may see Cropper face his Northern Irish Town team-mates.

The second-year scholar, who played the first half of tonight's 2-1 win at Haverhill Rovers, recently agreed a one-year professional deal with the Blues.

Anyone seen him play? If so, how do you rate him?

in answer to OsborneOneNil I have seen this lad play many times and he is very very good. He is the USA number 1 goalkeeper to play in next years world cup under 20s side having played for the USA at all levels 17s 18s under 20s I do not think he will go any higher than this as his ambition I think is to get an England call up? His target is to work his way into number 1 spot at Ipswich in the not to distant future.Cody Cropper has duel nationality and is eligible to represent England if they are interested? He is very, very, good. COYB 10/10

The new Brad Friedel perhaps? I hope his career progresses well and that he doesn't come a cropper.
