Cropper in US Squad
Wednesday, 13th Jul 2011 23:43
Academy keeper Cody Cropper has been named in the US U18 squad for the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland, which is being played between July 21st and 30th. Town trio Josh Carson, Caolan Lavery and Cormac Burke have already been named in the Northern Ireland U20 party which is also competing in the Elite section of the prestigious annual tournament.
The US take on Israel on July 25th and Mexico on July 27th before a positional play-off on July 29th, which may see Cropper face his Northern Irish Town team-mates.
The second-year scholar, who played the first half of tonight's 2-1 win at Haverhill Rovers, recently agreed a one-year professional deal with the Blues.

The Beat One Year On by ElephantintheRoom
Kevin Beattie died in September last year. He is by some distance the most popular player in the club’s history. Any poll on Town’s greatest player will be won at a canter by Beattie. He’s destined to be the first player to have a statue in his honour (if the somewhat radical design doesn’t make it look like he’s slipped off his pedestal).
