Ibrahima Sonko will officially join the Blues on a one-year contract on Friday in time to play in Saturday’s home game with Leeds United. While Jimmy Bullard and returning loanee Daryl Murphy have completed their moves to Portman Road earlier today, the paperwork regarding free agent Sonko joining Paul Jewell’s squad has not yet gone through.

No problem is anticipated with the former Reading and Stoke man joining Bullard and Murphy for training alongside their new team-mates this morning.

Sonko, whose personal website can be found here, left the Potters at the end of the 2010/11 season.

The Senegalese international will wear the number 31 shirt, Bullard the 21 and Murphy 27.
