Priskin: I Want to Leave Town Monday, 12th Sep 2011 13:19
Striker Tamás Priskin says he wants to go on loan to a team where he will play regularly and leave the Blues permanently either in January or at the end of the season. The Hungarian, a £1.7 million buy from Watford in the summer of 2009, has yet to feature for Town this season.
Speaking to the Hungarian media, the 24-year-old said: "I enjoy my role in the Hungarian national team, I recorded an assist against Sweden but my situation is not the same at Ipswich.
"I don't think I'll be in the squad for our next game and I'm sure I won't play. Simply, they don't rely on me. I don't get the chance from Paul Jewell, I'm in his bad books.
"Fortunately my contract will expire in [June] 2012, so I can sign to anywhere next summer. I'm sure this is my last season here, I don't want to stay.
"It would be great to go on loan to a team where I can play regularly, this would be the most important thing for me at the moment. Then I'll see in January, I'll go to another club if I get the possibility."
Priskin, who was close to joining Leeds on loan last month before the Elland Road club pulled out at the last minute, says he’d like to stay in England, but dismisses claims he was near to signing for ex-loan club Swansea earlier in the summer: "Germany or Holland are attractive for me but the country and the football I really like is here in England.
"I like and have got used to this atmosphere and it would be a dream to play in the Premier League again.
"I've heard that I had been linked with Swansea but I hadn't received a concrete offer and they bought two strikers."
The frontman has made 34 starts and 24 sub appearances for the Blues, scoring nine goals. While with Town the Slovakia-born striker has spent time on loan at QPR in addition to last season's spell at Swansea.

Some short memories here again i see. I can tell you exactly why TP hasn't settled. Remeber when he signed for us? How he said he likes the ball at his feet? When was the last time played football like that? Im tempted to agree with a couple of the above comments, that we do seem to ruin players when they arrive here.
He had plenty of chances as it says above 60 games involvement and only 9 goals ,how is that not being given a chance ? He was a panic buy due to a couple high profile goals ,get rid and take Leadbitter with you and let players who want to play for the club and have competition for their places stay and work .

Can he play at right back? !! Seriously though, it's a shame, but these things happen and hope it works out for him at another club. Must make sure we get a fee for him though.
Priskin is a highly talented player who needs to be part of a confident team with a plan (or several plans). It's very early days for us. We might see the first signs of positive teamwork this Saturday.
Another expensive failure sadly, never going to cut it at Town while PJ'S in charge, quite clearly not in his plans, hopefully we'll be able to move him on in January for a small fee.
On the basis of those comments he should never be allowed anywhere near the training ground again, he clearly doesn't have the right attitude/ability or he'd be in the first team plans. If I were the manager I wouldn't put up with such comments and would be looking to settle up his contract, i.e. sack him!
Lazy - and whilst I do agree with our style of play has not suited I believe PJ has at least now , players in the club who can play a style to feet - I hope !!!Leeds obviously heard something last minute as well !!
Good ability, poor attitude and self-motivation. Yes he could have had a better time here if the team had been more sucessful and he had been given a more regular place in the side, but he can't say he hasn't had numerous chances to stake a claim. Ultimately he hasn't done enough and should look at himself before pointing the finger elsewhere.
He's a good age, nobody can doubt his potential and he could still go on to prove himself elsewhere. However, unless he gets lucky with a sudden vain of form, he needs to learn to make things happen for himself, show more determination and gain a little self-belief. Asking for a place in the starting 11 every week until he comes good simply isn't the answer.
Given his complete lack of man management skills, a poor Keane signing.
We do ruin our most talented players because we play s*ite hoofball and have done for last few years! WhenJewell 1st took over straight away he got rid of Fulop just banging it up field just to come straight back. We started rolling it to full backs and the defence to pass into midfield. This is how football should be played, but now the players and Jewell have lost it and we revert back to hoof ball.
Actions speak louder than words. Like lots of people thinks he could do better given the chance but his chances come every day in training and he doesn't take those (or scoring chances when he does get a game). Reminds me of a poorer version of John Barnes who coasted for years on the back of one great goal against Brazil, in Tamas case v Arsenal. After these public comments sack him since he clearly won't even try to work for his (presumably decent) wage packet for the rest of this season
May just get on the bench at Braintree if his work ethic improves,a genuine sulker who doesnt pull his weight. Im a 5ft8 45yr old,and i could hav kept him quiet for 90mins!
