Peters Wants to Extend Bournemouth Stay
Peters Wants to Extend Bournemouth Stay
Friday, 14th Oct 2011 16:05

Midfielder Jaime Peters says he would like to extend his loan at AFC Bournemouth beyond its initial month. The 24-year-old has made four appearances since joining the Cherries late last month.

Peters says he would be interested in remaining in Dorset: "Yes, but I will let the club handle it and I will focus on football. At the moment I'm at Bournemouth and we will see what happens.

"I just want to play as many games as possible. I don't know whether I will be here for one, two or three months."

The Canadian international, who is contracted to the Blues until the summer of 2013, is generally pleased with the way the spell in League One is progressing: “It's gone OK but it could have gone better if we'd won a few more games, but I'm happy.

"I'm back playing again and enjoying it. I didn't get much playing time at Ipswich and had to keep myself fit. I'm playing week-in, week-out which is what I want."

Manager Lee Bradbury added: "He's done well with us and fitted in with the rest of the lads. He's a quick lad who causes full-backs problems.

"We are trying to see if we can extend his loan at the moment."

He's only 24? It seems like he's been around forever.

Jamie is not good enough - impact player possibly, but no right-back or indeed a regular. Maybe wise for him to persue his career elsewhere - but no doubt all ITFC fans will wish him well - he tried 100% for us. Good luck Jamie.

A few years ago, most on this board were demanding that we sign him. He made the first team, always gave 100%, but under poor Management. PJ watched him give a fine performance against Arsenal, but has never considered him as a 1st team player? He has more to offer than Morris, but has never had the same chance. Perhaps his career is to be away from PR, but if this is the case I wish him all the very best.

Could everyone please stop calling him Jamie. It might sound girly but his name is Jaime. I'm sure he'd appreciate fans acknowledging this considering that he has been with us forever. Also sorry for my ignorance but who is Morris?

jas0999...I don't think that right back is his preferred position. Bournemouth knew that and have moved him forward.
