Chopra Faces Driving Ban
Wednesday, 19th Oct 2011 13:43

Town striker Michael Chopra is facing being banned from driving having admitted travelling at 106 mph on the A12 in Essex on September 13th when he was clocked by a handheld speed gun.

The 27-year-old’s case was adjourned this morning after the former Cardiff man admitted speeding in a letter to the court.

Chopra, who already has six points on his licence, will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on November 16th when he could be handed a ban.

What are you on about people? Drivers get busted for speeding all the time and it's nearly always 90mph+. Moment of foolishness yep but loads do it.

This is completely different to Edwards. I work in sales and would be amazed if most of my colleagues (and I) haven't got close to this speed before on the roads. It is wrong and it is against the law but with cars these days build to ease over the speed limits then it happens with a lot of people a lot of the times.

Speeding!? Bothered! I'd do the same if i had a fast car!

If these cars weren't able to go that fast no one would be tempted, just put restrictions on the speed and everyone's happy.

i bet everyone who drives has driven around 100mph on a motorway so why is it a big deal becauise a footballer does it.

Martus..i suppose you would be happy if everyone drove one of those hideous smart cars with their tiny engines and only 2 seats..horrid little snot boxes!...it was chopras choice to do that speed, right or wrong, he was caught and will pay the price!...and anyway if cars where speed restricted how would the police and road safety partnerships make up the shortfall from the income generated by speed cameras.....oh i know..tax smart cars!

Easily done in the sort of Audi that he drives. Mind you, you wouldn't catch me doing that sort of speed on the A12, it's a horrible road.

If he keeps scoring and gets us to the prem, i'll give up my job and be his driver.

SOME of you lot need to get a grip you are not in the real world. It is a speeding offence so what? I would like to see your reactions if Bowyer had another court case. Or if yourselves ever got into any kind of trouble with the law, either serious or minor. You would not cope.

All I am concerned about is the teams performances on the pitch. Some of you lot really are out of touch
