Stevenson Looking Forward to Getting Started
Stevenson Looking Forward to Getting Started
Saturday, 28th Jan 2012 21:44

New Town signing Ryan Stevenson says he can’t wait to get his Town career started after agreeing to join the Blues from Hearts today. The 27-year-old is set to train with his new team-mates for the first time on Sunday.

Stevenson told the club site: "I had a few other teams interested but when a club of the stature of Ipswich comes in for you, you take it.

"It's a massive opportunity for me, too big to turn down and I can't wait to get going. I'm looking forward to training with the lads tomorrow and I want to hit the ground running, impress the manager and force my way into the side.

"Playing in England has always been a big ambition of mine and to have a chance of playing for such a big club and alongside so many top players is fantastic."

You'll get introduced to Sonko, Delaney and Smith.
Yes, its not a joke. They really are our defence.
Once you have ran circles round them in training you'll realise why we are all so mad about our defenders.
phone up the guy that casanovacrow and whoppit are talking about and see if you can get him to come down. PLEASE!!!!

Cracking. Spoke to a mate of mine who's a jambo and he's gutted he's left so hope he lives up to the bill. Good goal scoring midfielder.

Think he will be a big hit at PR and prove the armchair supporters/doubters wrong!!

Cant wait to see him and Hyam get stuck in on Tuesday. Could be some bone crunching tackles flying around. Just what we need!

Give the boy a chance ye who mock. Unlike most who have already condemned him on here before he has kicked a ball for us, I HAVE watched him play, several times in fact, for Ayr Utd at Somerset park. He stood way out above the others, albeit Scottish 1st Div football. He is hard working and tenacious and knows where the goal is, something we are missing without Andrews. I was at the Ayr v Killie semi final yesterday when this news broke and all the Ayr supporters I spoke to love him, and reckon £50k is a cracking bargain. So welcome Ryan, I for one will be behind you.
