Blues boss Paul Jewell has recalled Andy Drury, Lee Martin and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas to the team for today’s game at Crystal Palace. Lee Bowyer and Ryan Stevenson drop to the bench with Cody Cropper the sub keeper, as revealed by TWTD last night, replacing the injured Richard Wright.

Jason Scotland keeps his place in the Town attack with Michael Chopra remaining on the bench. Full match preview here.

Midfielders Luke Hyam and Josh Carson are the two players from the travelling 18 who miss out on the matchday squad.

Darren Ambrose and former Blues Academy schoolboy Stuart O'Keefe are the only ex-Town players in the Palace XI with David Wright injured and Lewis Price and Owen Garvan on the bench.

Town: Lee-Barrett, Edwards, Smith, Delaney, Cresswell, Leadbitter, Drury, Emmanuel-Thomas, Martin, Murphy, Scotland. Subs: Cropper, Sonko, Stevenson, Bowyer, Chopra.

Crystal Palace: Speroni, Clyne, McCarthy, Ambrose, Dikgacoi, Scannell, Zaha, Moxey, O'Keefe, McShane, Martin. Subs: Price, Parr, Garvan, Pedroza, De Silva.

Are you surprised there is no Carson? If you were there on Monday you will have seen how shocking he was when given his chance

Carson needs to go out of loan next season.

Nice to see JP giving youth a chance! The season has been dead for weeks why not give them a chance to learn and gain experience?

Carson struggled badly on Monday, and quite rightly misses out. A season long loan will hopefully do him the world of good, and decide if he is one to keep or move on.

Carson out?

Hyam out? (still)

JEWELL OUT!!!

Mark my words friends, and I am no Jewell boo-boy, but going on what's happening and what's said, if Mr Jewell is still here next season, there will be no improvement next season. Will just be the same as this one!!

Rant over - COYB!

Would rather see Carson on the bench than Bowyer. And I wouldn't be playing a player who is out of contract either. i would have Hyam in, he needs to be learning the game at this level, and now is the perfect time to be giving him that game time. Jewell out.

You people who want Hyam and Carson included, if they had been and they both had shockers and we got stuffed, it'd still be the manager's fault wouldn't it?

groovyASH - I'm not totally against PJ but I think these players need the opportunity to learn their craft and playing is important for that. If they have shockers and we got stuffed but they learnt from the experience then that would be worth it.

For those saying that Carson was bad on Monday, yes you have a valid point.

But if Carson was bad, Bowyer was simply completely and utter shambolic. and somehow he has earn't his place on the bench.

Why both Stevenson and Bowyer are both on the bench is ridiculous, where is the width going to come from if we need some late in the game? Almost as if Jewell has already decided we're going to play defensively and try and sit back, but if we're playing on the counter, the wings are going to be vitally important!

We are not going to be promoted or relegated this season. Therefore, what is the purpose of playing the likes of ALB and Leadbitter when we know already what they can/can't do? Better to play the likes of Cropper and Hyan or Ainsley and see what they do.

Come on Jewell , start putting your money where your mouth is..thought you were going to give the youth a chance?..beginning to test my patience tbh.

I agree RetroBlue. Will be good for him. If he gets himself in good shape over the summer, he'll tear lower league defences apart and come back brimming with confidence.

This Hyam story is almost as boring as the Ward and Pearce transfer debacle which will no doubt start surfacing again now they're down!

And yet more of Jewell's baffling decisions - if I was Hyam or Carson I would be viewing my furure elsewhere. What a way to treat youngsters ? - no wonder the only youngster to be offered a professional contract this last week has rejected it . Don't blame him - get the h#ll out of here son to a Club that will appreciate you and give you the chance of a future in the game.
This Club has lost the plot completely - youngsters have no future here - and what a joke the Academy has become and will remain with recent decisions made.

Mr Jewell - please go asap, and do all sensible supporters, the emphasis being on the word sensible, a HUGE favour.

Yeah I agree, no point starting Carson for 1 game, ok he doesn't have a good game and then forgetting about him. He should have been on the bench at least, and as mentioned yep sounds about right to put him out on loan next season (part). Perhaps we should put out a search party for Hyam or get P.I. on the case. Glad to see JET and Martin started today.

Being sensible has nothing to do with differing opinions , being sensible is making sure you have the facts b4 you post, otherwise you sound biased and quite frankly silly...coyb
