Sorry to hear the news. Like many who have already posted I have been put in my place by Nick and will miss his banter

This is the third person I've had some sort of interaction with that has died in their 40s in the last three weeks. I'm struggling to take any more of this. Really sad for all of them.

All of them far too young.

Although I never knew him or never had any chats or banter with him I had seen his posts on here. Shows how short life can be, enjoy it and look after yourself because it can all be gone in a flash.

Didn't always agree with you but it was fun to read your posts. RIP mate.

Always hoped to meet Dalai at an away game, feel poorer now for knowing I never will. Had our differences at first on the forum, but sorted them out in recent times and I came to respect and really like him him as someone of great integrity, who always stuck by his strong sense of what was right and just. As I'm also a night owl, we frequently 'met' on the forum in the wee small hours. I shall really miss his intelligence and wit, he so often made me laugh. And it really says something when the death of someone I only 'met' on a message board made me cry real tears.

R.I.P Dalai, shall miss you more than I can say. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Glad I wasn't the only one Ryorry. I had never shed tears for someone I'd never met before today.

Like you I one day had hoped to meet Dalai and buy him a pint.

Still gutted at the news. Still saddened at the news.

Oh Jeez.

I don't quite know what to say... I was more than a regular back in the early naughties and DLF was one such like me.

Aside the banter he was an extremely memorable contributor of the board and coming home to such news really wakens the senses.

All my sympathies to the family and those who knew him in person, if I am this knocked back I cannot imagine how those connected to him in person feel.

Terrible news. He was a much welcome antidote to some of the less informed and less tolerant posters the message board can suffer from. He did his best to try and change that... Will be and is sadly missed. Love, light and Peace.
