Nice to see Clegg and and the sales/marketing team realise they can't mug us fans off with consistently high prices. Our demand is not so price inelastic after all and now they've had to deploy an emergency ticket deal to ensure Sky TV doesn't pick up on how soulless PR is these days. As little as this is, Clegg being forced into a ticket promotion days before the game is a victory for the fans over the club.

We need the stadium full to get a good positive atmosphere generated.

I wonder what redemption that piece of turd Bellamy will get hahaha

Also please can we not play "my way" does nothing for the atmosphere and the proof is in the pudding, how many games have we won with that tune. Really dislike it

Don't I know it, bought mine, and a friend's who I'm trying to convince more regularly, before the Charlton match. They nearly ended up in the bin on the way out! But since we always beat Cardiff, it'll all be ok...

Oops - I guess my rant is void then haha.

In which case, WHEN DO WE GET OUR VICTORY?! I just hate feeling like the club can keep taking from us - it kills the community feel.

I cant even give my season ticket to people for free when I cant make a match!!

All the people that would maybe have considered it will watch on Sky pointless doing a promotion on this game. The management at our beloved club need to take their heads out of their backsides for five minutes then they may see the light off day.

Got 2 adults and 2 kids for £26 would normally have cost £100plus. Cant knock £26 for a trip to the footie. Kids love it regardless of the performance and result. Great way to get our 3 year old son along to another game and make sure he catches the Blues bug.

dont worry - my mate at sky says they always boost the crowd noise if attendance is low. If they do god knows what they will pick up!

Brckleyblueboy - top shout, My Way has got to be the worst tune ever for a team to come out to. So slow and dirge-like - the opposite of the build up we want.

Whoever thought that 'd be a good idea?

Cheers tooleyblue.

I will be there cheering my little bald head off with my dad. It's a 1720 ko, people would have been in the pub for a bit, let's get a really buzzing atmosphere going, show these welsh twits what suffolkmis all about.

Philip pleas please what ever influence you have please get them to play some upbeat music.

Mumford and sons, acdc, guns and roses anything to get some fire in the belly.

I know my way was Sir bobbys song and I don't want to disrespect, far from, just want us to come out fighting not crooning. It does nothing for stadium atmosphere, it just reminds me of my grandads funeral :-( that song does nothing but bring sorrow to me.

Please please can we get it changed

Yeah agree with earlier post about the my way musical entry, doesn't really strike fear into the opposition.

Should have been Kasabian Club foot, get the crowd ready for war!!!

The club could boost the atmosphere AC Milan style and pump crowd noise through the PA system

If we're all honest Portman Road is hardly intimidating these days, last time it was pumped up was the win against Arsenal in the cup

Town should play "The Boys Are Back In Town"by Thin Lizzy- now that would get us in the mood!

brockleyboy, tooleyblue. my way was the song that the fans voted for to be played before the match, so i guess its just a few like you who dont like it. clearly most fans do want it, so i think youll find you're stuck with it. for now neway.

Clearly' my way' was never going to work, as has been proved. It also shows that the majority can be wrong. The fans voted but I would now like theose who did to just admit it does not work on match day, it was special for the one off occasion only, and lets get back to what we had previously, please.
the fans decision for my way has not improved the pre match atmosphere, etc.
well done to the club for asking, but hindsight has proved it should have been steered a bit better.
In respect of empty seats, all clubs are suffering empty seats, even Man city last night!
Well done the club for trying with the offer.

Is the game on Sky as it's a 17:20 KO?

I didn't vote it, but what a classy tune.

And if my way was Sir Bobby's song, then we should definitely keep it.

Silver Club members offer is very poor when you work it, alot of of us work shifts and cannot get to the only three or four match deals a year they run, can't really see why they can't match the Season Ticket holders offer considering there will only be 15-17k turn out anyway now its on Sky!

Agree "My Way" needs dropping now, I would like to know the age range of the voters for this song (do they still work?), what about only Suffolk songs/bands to be voted on to replace it! (are "The Darkness" suffolk boys and have they anything suitable to rock Portman Road so we can keep it local?)

I am sorry if I have offended anyone with asking for the openi g tune to be changed.

I understand that it was voted in by fans, but how many voted without experiencing it as the players ran onto the pitch? And just voted out of sentiment for the late great Sir Bobby Robson?

We need every bit of a rocket and a heart pumping tune to get the blood racing.

Quick question, when you are in a bar, nightclub etc do you get your feet tapping and get a bit of energy from an upbeat song and raises your mood or when a slow number comes on do you just sit back stare at your pint and become a bit Solom thinking of days gone by.

LETS RAISE THE ROOF THIS SATURDAY AND LETS PUT THE DRUMMERS UP NEAR THE AWAY FANS TO DROWN OUT THOSE WELSH MUGS

RegencyBlue added 19:44 - Oct 4
To be honest I've never really taken to "My Way". I accept the Sir Bobby connection but it just doesnt work as a rousing pre-match tune for me.

I also know the whole song is not played but cannot get the first line out of my head;

"And now the end is near and so I face the final curtain".

Imagine that in an April relegation decider!!!
