Carson, Hyam and Murphy Back for Blues
Saturday, 27th Oct 2012 14:40

Town caretaker-boss Chris Hutchings has made three changes for his first and possibly only game in charge of the Blues. Josh Carson, Luke Hyam and Daryl Murphy return to the side with Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Nigel Reo-Coker and Andy Drury dropping to the bench.

Hutchings could look to continue with the Blues’ regular 4-2-3-1 formation with Martin behind DJ Campbell with Lee Martin in behind with Josh Carson and Daryl Murphy wide, or alternatively Murphy could be up front with Campbell in a 4-4-2 with Martin on one of the flanks. Full match preview here.

Town: Henderson, Edwards, Chambers, Higginbotham, Cresswell, Carson, Wellens, Hyam, Martin, Murphy, Campbell. Subs: Loach, Smith, Drury, Mohnsi, Reo-Coker, Emmanuel-Thomas, Chopra.

Sheffield Wednesday: Kirkland, Jones, Buxton, Gardner, Semedo, Antonio, O’Grady, Corry, Bothroyd, Barkley, Llera. Subs: Davies, Taylor, Madine, Johnson, Mattock, Rodri, Pecnik.

Well another loss, and even greater than previous results, this is the great youth that everyone seems to want to be playing, we need to get a grip and realise that the youngsters we have recently been producing are not good enough, Drury / Hyam / Smith / Carson, these should all be sent out on loan to get some experience, remember the days when we used to "blood" the youngsters in league 2 then 1, this has gone and we expect them to be good enough to play for ITFC, they are not. That is not too say we should be playing dads army but a good mix of better players, NDaw should of been in the middle with Wellens, with the youth of Martin and Carson / Jet on the wings, Murphy should not play and should of been Chopra and DJ, Loach should of been back in as Henderson has been atrocious.
First thing is to bring in a RB and allow Edwards to play in his position. Thankfully that is the end of the Jewell brigade as Carson and Hyam were only brought in to appease the fans, and look what happened.
Onwards and upwards....COYB

Its a combination, Jewell wasn't good enough and, too many loan players, bad man management, couldnt get the defence going ect.. Half the players have poor attitudes. ie. E-Thomas, Chopra, Carson, Mohsni a theme that has continued from the likes of Bowyer and Bullard At the moment in the players minds it feels like Ipswich vs the fans, they need a motivator, not a bully like Keane but a motivator. The players are feeling a pressure because of where we are and what is going and so they are in my view feeling sorry for themselves and instead of saying 'right were in a fight, lets show what we're made of'

I wasn't surprised by today, Hutchings just seems like a typical old school caretaker, like the headteacher at school no one wanted a detention with. The players know he will be gone soon so I dont think they give a monkeys about giving him a send off.
Complete and utter shambles. I dont think managers will be turned off though, because that manager will know that if he can keep us up he will forever have our gratitude because of the mess we're in, if he can do that there is no pressure on him and we may achieve something, wishful thinking.

Average players low on confidence equals very poor players. Mentally the desire will be there, however when bullet leaves the gun our players simply shrink. Wednesday dished us a pro performance. Diciplined , organised, quick and ruthless.

Hyam and Carsons first start in yonks in the midfield together, don't play them for 1 match together we lose and then forget about them it takes longer than that. Why Hyam hasn't played far regularly is beyond me, he was the catalyst behind Jewell's better run of form in the new year and then Leadbitter came back from injury. A certain amount of these loanees have to go back or be benched in my opinion and regularly start basing the team around Edwards (into right midfield) Chambers, Hyam and Martin (like to seem him get more consistent).

One up front hasnt worked all season, so lets try--one up front! Where do these numpties come from! We need a massive clear out, Higginbotham out, Chopra, out, Henderson, out, Murphy, out for a start. then get in a Director of Football sign players who want to play for the club.
