Loach Hasn't Made Trip
Friday, 16th Nov 2012 21:16

Keeper Scott Loach hasn't made the trip to Leicester with the rest of the squad ahead of tomorrow's game at the King Power Stadium due to the thigh injury he suffered in the Suffolk Premier Cup match at Walsham on Tuesday.

Earlier today, manager Mick McCarthy had thought that the 24-year-old would be over the dead leg, but Loach revealed he had stayed behind in a tweet: "Disappointed I wasn't fit to travel. But all the boys are looking sharp and it great spirits! Bring the points back boys!"

Stephen Henderson was expected to keep his place in the starting line-up in any case with Arran Lee-Barrett now set to be on the bench.

Course it's a lovely place but from Portman road to Walsham was always a bit of a mick take in my opinion (no pun intended!) Henderson hasn't shown he is that much better than loach yet...

I'd rather we played a keeper who is under contract here than a loanee, so a shame that he's not fit. Both he and Henderson have their weeknesses, so I'd rather Scott started. But then I'd rather Henderson than ALB, he's just too unreliable.
Gonna be a tough game this weekend, a point will be a great result, just no more drubbings!

Really like loach. Although not to sure about gk's as captains, I could see loach as our future captain
