Bryan Hamilton says Town have been unlucky on a number of occasions this season and with injuries. Hamilton has watched the Blues several times this year on his media duties.

The Northern Irishman said: "Having watched Ipswich this season I believe they have been a bit unfortunate with the number of injuries and some of the results which could have gone their way. I'm an old fox and sometimes when you get to that stage you can hep people around you. I like to speak to players on a one-to-one basis. I watched training yesterday and the spirit in the camp is terrific."

Of fellow coach Tony Mowbray Hamilton said: "Tony Mowbray was a player last time I was here and he is one of the most decent men I have ever met, He is a real enthusiast for the game, a great thinker and we will be talking together a lot."

George Burley revealed that he had talked with Tord Grip before deciding to add to his coaching staff. And Hamilton was his immediate choice. Hamilton's previous spell here in 1997/98 was very successful with the club, powered by David Johnson's goals, going on an incredible run which included the 5-0 win over Norwich City.
