Nouble: Town Move Makes Up for Wolves Disappointment Friday, 11th Jan 2013 06:02 Frank Nouble says his move to Ipswich has more than made up for the disappointment of not making an impact at previous club Wolves. Nouble only moved to Molineux last summer and had four months working with Terry Connor, who recommended him to new boss Stale Solbakken before joining up with Mick McCarthy at Portman Road. He said: “Terry’s a great guy and a great coach. I’m delighted to be joining two people — Mick and Terry — who are very positive about me. They will encourage me and try to bring out the best in me. “I never signed for Wolves intending to leave after only six months but these things happen in football. I was happy with the time I was there but I didn’t really get an opportunity to showcase what I could do. “You just get on with things and now I have a new challenge here at Ipswich that gives me an opportunity to continue my career. In my time at Wolves I played in a Capital One Cup tie at Northampton and scored but after that I was back on the bench.” Nouble clocked up a total of only five appearances during his time at Molineux — one start and two appearances from the bench in the Capital One Cup plus another two substitute outings in the Championship.

A lot of the players who had stayed on at the club were given more of an opportunity but it didn’t work out with them either and the manager didn’t stay for long. “In football you just have to live for now and I’m grateful for the chance to come to a club like Ipswich. It’s a new chapter of my life and I’m happy. “I went to Wolves and thought I was part of their plans. After working hard in pre-season I thought I would get a chance but when I didn’t it was very disheartening. Now I’m here I feel refreshed again and eager to show what I have to offer.” Photos: ITFC/Action Images
