Campbell Set to Leave QPR
Wednesday, 16th Jan 2013 16:19

Former Blues loan striker DJ Campbell has been given the go-ahead to leave QPR in the next 48 hours by manager Harry Redknapp, according to reports. Blues boss Mick McCarthy has repeatedly said that he is still chasing the 31-year-old, despite adding three strikers to his squad during this transfer window, however, Crystal Palace have emerged as the favourites for his signature.

Palace are managed by Campbell’s former Blackpool boss Ian Holloway, who tried to take the frontman back to Bloomfield Road in October prior to his three-month spell with Town.

Redknapp, who today completed the signing of Marseille striker Loic Remy, recently said that “seven or eight” Championship sides had made enquiries regarding Campbell, who scored 10 goals in 17 games for the Blues.

jas 0999: isn't Murphy's contract up in June? I've always assumed he'd come to us on a Bosman then, so long as he continues to do as well as he has recently.

Lol you idiots (to the people who are no understanding my previous comment). The reason why Harry is a bell*nd was not for the sake he was ever going to use DJ to play for QPR, he brought him back coz he knew he could get money from him. So, howabout think about it.

Now that we werent able to buy him from our loan deal has screwed it up for us. We'll never get DJ no matter how badly we need and want him here at town.
